iTournee Privacy Policy

Version 1.1 · Effective 1 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information iTournee collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

Who we are

iTournee.com is the data controller for the information described here. If you have a question about your data, email support@itournee.com.

What we collect

If you organise a tournament

  • your name and email address, which you must give before you publish
  • whether you've agreed to receive marketing emails, and when you agreed
  • when you accepted our Terms, and which version you accepted
  • your tournament details: name, date, times, courts, code word and admin PIN
  • whether your tournament was published during the beta, its number of teams, and any founding credit you've earned or used
  • payment records from Stripe: the amount, the date and Stripe's payment reference. Stripe processes your card details. We never see them.

About players

  • the player names the organiser enters
  • the scores entered during the event

If a player chooses to get the results by email, we collect their name and email address, and whether they'd like news and offers from us. Players never need an account.

On your device

We save a small organiser key in your browser's local storage. It's what lets you get back into your tournament's admin page. We also save an unfinished wizard draft, so your set-up isn't lost if your phone locks. Both are strictly necessary for the service to work, so we don't ask for consent to store them. We don't use advertising cookies or tracking cookies.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run iTournee, and only so far as they need it:

  • Lovable and Supabase, who host the app and its database
  • Stripe, who process payments
  • Resend, who send our emails (EU region)
  • Hostinger, who host our support@itournee.com mailbox

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. When they do, they use safeguards the UK recognises, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or a UK adequacy decision.

We'll also share information if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

  • Tournaments, player names and scores: for 12 months after the event date. We then delete or anonymise them, unless the organiser asks us to keep them.
  • Organiser contact details: for as long as the tournament is kept. If you opted in to marketing, we keep your details until you unsubscribe.
  • Payment records: for 6 years, as UK tax law requires.
  • Results sign-ups: until the results email is sent and for 12 months after the event, unless the player opted in to marketing, in which case until they unsubscribe.

Your rights

You have the right to see the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, take a copy of it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email support@itournee.com to use any of these rights. We'll reply within one month.

If you're a player and want your name removed from a tournament, ask the organiser or email us. We'll replace it with initials or a placeholder.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Children

Organisers must be 18 or over. Players can be any age. If you're entering the names of players under 18, use first names or nicknames and make sure their parent or guardian is happy with this.

Players must be 16 or over to sign up for results or marketing emails.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll publish the new version at itournee.com/privacy and update the effective date. If the changes are significant, we'll email organisers who have tournaments that are still live.
